Is he Human.... or is he a Music God
Brandon Flowers not the defensive back out of Va Tech now playing for the Chiefs, but the music icon that is the lead singer for The Killers. Known for his quarky choruses, unconventional style, arrogance, and being Miley Cyrus' crush. Well maybe not so much the last one, but you get the gist. Brandon Flowers has recieved a lot of heat from a variety of bands, because of his mouth (Looks like Monica Lewinsky isnt the only one recieving publicity for opening their mouth). Calling out bands like Green Day calling them "unpatriotic" and the success of bands like Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, and Panic at the Disco accusing them of playing into the emo trend. His Sam's Town album also recieved much attention before the release when he stated that it was the best album in the past 40 YEARS! You gotta love this razzle dazzle by Flowers in a world where everyone seems relatively modest, Flowers seems to "bloom" with confidence.
He is a lot like the Joey Porter or Ray Lewis of the musical world, he talks a big "album" and he is going to back it up. He and his band seem to turn out hit after hit like some sort of assembly line of music, whether they are songs about boyfriends who look like girlfriends, bones on top of other bones, or the heated debate between human and or dancer. His unique songs, seductive voice, and ability to convert styles, but yet stay fashionably relevant earns him a top spots amongst the top tier singers and debateable the best in my opinion. For those of you who havent heard the Killers you really should get out and "listen" to the flowers.
